Certified Packaging Specialist

Increasing current customer sales and successfully selling new customers involves thoroughly understanding the products sold into the industrial market. To help your salesforce increase their product knowledge and expertise, enhancing their ability to sell, AFFLINK has developed the "Industrial Packaging Certification Program."

The Program
The Industrial Packaging Certification Program is a comprehensive packaging product assessment. The assessment consists of seven (7) product modules. Each product module is a web-based exam that assesses a salesperson's understanding, knowledge and expertise of the products in that module.
Program modules include:
  • Protective Packaging
  • Films
  • Strapping
  • Corrugated Products
  • Tapes
  • Packaging Equipment
  • Labels
To become a Certified Packaging Specialist, each participating Distributor Sales Representative much pass all seven modules with a score of 80% or higher. If a participant fails an exam module, they may attempt that module again in 30 days, with no penalty. We recommend that during this 30-day period, the salesperson gain the necessary training from supplier partners to pass that exam module. Once 50% of a distributor's sales force is Certified, the distributor is Certified. If you operate a dual house, 50% of your sales force devoted to industrial packaging must be certified to be a Certified distributor.
Each product module was developed by, and in consultation with, the packaging industry's leading manufacturers. Each question has been thoroughly reviewed by manufacturers in each category for validity, appropriateness and timeliness. Northrop Grumman, a leader in engineering processes and systems integration, validated the final comprehensive assessment.
